The Debt Advisor to help HM Forces

29 July 2010

Award-winning, Manchester-based debt management company, The Debt Advisor, has partnered with specialist armed forces home-buying adviser, Mortgages4Forces, to offer debt solutions to the military.

The arrangement will see The Debt Advisor offer its comprehensive range of personal debt management services to all sections of the armed forces across the UK, potentially some 240,000 regular and voluntary personnel and an additional 200,000 reserves.

Bev Budsworth, managing director of The Debt Advisor commented:

“Like everyone else, our brave servicemen and women can have debt problems which may hinder them getting on to the property ladder. We have teamed up with Mortgages4Forces to help offer a seamless home buying service to troops in any financial situation.

“Mortgages4Forces has helped a great many of our armed forces to get on to the housing ladder. We hope to enhance its service by helping people with debt issues to have the very best chance of buying a home – we are proud to be working with such a worthwhile organisation.”

Frank Kelly, marketing manager at Mortgages4Forces, added:

“For over 16 years, we have provided a complete home buying service for HM Forces. We help them through the whole home-buying process and come across a number of personnel who, due to a variety of debt issues, we have not been able to help. It was therefore, imperative that we did not let them down but instead find the right partner to provide sound debt advice and continue to help all the service personnel we deal with.

“The right partner was crucial and we had to kiss a lot of frogs before we found a prince! The Debt Advisor has strong credentials and provides practical and ethical advice. It's extremely highly DEMSA accreditation and Bev's involvement in government-led working parties on the debt industry, were particularly noteworthy.

“As soon as we began talking to The Debt Advisor, it was clear that it genuinely cared for its clients and went to great lengths to ensure that clients were given the right advice and a solution that was specifically tailored to their needs – It should be a great partnership.”
